With a retreat-like setting and breaks in world-renowned ski resorts, the Winter IS Conference provides a unique forum for exchanging creative research ideas/findings/perspectives and building strong synergy among leading and emerging information systems researchers. Following the success of the inaugural Winter IS Conferencein 2005, the theme of the 2006 conference is “Scalable Business Intelligence (BI).” The program will feature a keynote from Bassel Ojjeh, VP of Strategic Data Solutions at Yahoo! on the challenge and practice of driving business intelligence from petabytes, select presentations and abundant opportunities for feedback and discussions on presentations.
Participants will have authorized access to soft copies of papers and presentation slides from the conference website. The conference does not publish proceedings but provides researchers a rare opportunity to receive feedback and comments for paper revisions and submissions to prestigious research outlets!
Thanks to the generous support from the conference sponsors, conference
registration ($225) will cover meals and transportation between the meeting
facility and the skiing/event venues. The conference closing dinner will be a seafood
